Family emotions and the connection
Disconnected. A word that gives the explanation of a situation wherein we are not connected with someone for a good or bad reason.

It is the short film presented by ROYAL STAG BARREL SELECT LARGE SHORT FILMS. Where we get to see Aakansha performed by Gul Panag in the lead role.
Well, I must say the creators and the director have presented this film in a beautiful way.
Everything seems on point, especially the characters, the cinematography and screenplay.

Disconnected, Are we?
Director Suhail Tatari has presented the portrayal of a family, that seems detached from each other in the most beautiful way as possible.
Parimal is a character played by Satydeep Mishra and Aakanksha is a character performed by Gul Panag.
They are husband and wife but they don’t seem connected.

On the other side, we get to see daughter Rhea portrayed gracefully by Mahek Thakur (Ashlesha Thakur).
So the question is, daughter, husband, and wife are they really connected ?

A family where the daughter is looking for some quality time with parents, a wife looking for love, and a busy husband.
Are these things enough to keep a family detached from each other?
Well sometimes our busy life changes our priorities. May be family is more importance but we start getting more attracted towards the things that we don’t have than appreciating what we have.
here, Akansha and Parimal sets and example about something very similar. I will not dive into the story but they make us realize, how important it is to appreciate what we have because no matter what they were always best for us.

Things that we take for granted may result into a situation that we can see or feel through this short film. The dialogues are well written and are on point.
At one stage when Rhea say,” To find where my parents are, I need to check their social media post”. Dialogues like this are enough to touch our heart.
Things I like about this short film
When the title of a short film itself suggests the plot, we expect that story will be more predictable. This isn’t different for this film, Although at points we might predict the story right.
The screenplay and cinematography come to the rescue and keeps us engaged. The dialogues are on point and well written. The story is appealing and would attract more audiences.

Gul Panag as Aakanksha, the intensity in her eyes, and the way she acted is the plus point of this web series.
And yeah short films are always about quality content in the minimum time with the best utilization of resources. Thus I personally like this short film and if you ever feel detached from someone. You can give this short film a try.
